Akkalkot : is home to Shree Swami Samarth Maharaj. It lies in Solapur District. Akkalkot taluka (district Solapur) Akkalkot taluka is Situated near the border of Karnataka state. (districts Gulbarga Bijapur) on all other sides. The taluka covers an area of 1,407 kms. and contains 141 villages, apart from the town.
